Beaches [160bpm -> 174bpm version]

By 10k on February 1, 2022 3:46 am

This track was started a short while ago, but I had no idea how to end it past the first ~2 minutes and 30 seconds of builds. After a few iterations (including some back and forth with snottdog about it) it’s landed as a m8 DJ set transition between two of the best tempos going in music.

'Mastered' version coming out this Friday...

"Keytronic_-_2000_Lichtjahre_(Strand_mix)" and "SackJo22_-_The_Haunted_Hotel" are sampled in Beaches. 2019 - Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (3.0).

Thank you both! Appreciate the lurve!

you ever listen to Current Value?  this is that good if not better.  the tempo transition made my brain stop working, in a pleasant way.

hard to explain why this is so good, but this is really expert, esp the soft pad at 3:15 - smart choice to keep that hidden as a surprise

what an incredible compliment! current value has definitely been in rotation at various times over the years. However long ago it was, I was listening to "skullstep" kinda genres a lot and it's cool as heck to me that some of that is bleeding through.

Love the slower grind of 160bpm which is translating as 80bpm to my brain.  That hoover type bass is huge at the slower tempo.

JESUS!

Percussive perfection! This is truly a banger.
